Start by Observing Real Behavior. Let the Data Speak.
We begin by observing how people interact with their devices during everyday work. These observations are translated into measurable test scenarios, helping ensure that what we evaluate in the lab reflects how people actually work in the real world. Our research follows three guiding principles:
-
Observe & Define
We observe real-world device use at work, using task analysis and recorded observations to identify frequent movements, strain-building actions, and unnatural postures.
-
Experimental Measurement
After identifying key behaviors, we turn them into repeatable test conditions and measure them with scientific instruments, translating sensation into data.
-
Validation & Feedback
We compare measurement results with real user experience. Through feedback, long-term observation, and repeated testing, we verify that the data reflects how users actually feel.
How We Quantify Experience
-
Motion Capture System
Millimeter-precision 3D motion tracking, reconstructing changes in hand and full-body posture.
-
Electromyography (EMG)
Real-time monitoring of muscle activity, quantifying load accumulation and fatigue.
-
Contact Area and Pressure Analysis
Visualizing how the hand meets the product, identifying where pressure concentrates during grip.
-
Qualitative Interviews
Beyond the data, we listen to how people feel. Through surveys and interviews, we verify that the numbers align with real experience.
