Why don't my shortcuts work in Figma / Premiere / Excel?
First confirm that the system's keyboard shortcut defaults haven't been changed (System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts).
If the system is fine, it's usually the application taking over the mouse button itself — confirm the action isn't overridden by settings within the application; if necessary, use the application's existing shortcuts instead.
